EILEEN
Eileen Kennedy partnered with Jack Gorton in 2023 to create STREET LEGAL PICTURES, INC, a new company, utilizing their combined creative skills in the production of film, documentary, television and digital formats.
Eileen charged into a full-time casting career in daytime television in New York at ABC’s One Life to Live, and quickly moved to prime-time in Los Angeles. With LaPadura & Hart casting team, she cut her teeth on many pilots, series and TV movies, such as HBO’s Tyson, The Good Old Boys, directed by Tommy Lee Jones, and several Disney TV movies including High School Musical 2.
Her first executive job was Supervisor of Casting at Big Ticket Studios. Highlights included Moesha and Night Stand with Dick Dietrick, working on both pilots and series. Following her passion for network television, she was Manager of Casting at United Paramount Network, where she oversaw the casting of many comedy and drama pilots and series, and a host of movies of the week.
After her studio and network gigs, Eileen hit the road to cast the Sundance award winner Paper Heart, starring Michael Cera and Charlyne Yi. Most recently, she co-produced and cast the award-winning indie Raise Your Hand. She worked on Love Ranch, directed by Taylor Hackford, starring Helen Mirren, Joe Pesci and Bryan Cranston. Eileen continued to flex her scripted casting muscle on many network dramas, including What About Brian for ABC and Code Black for CBS.
Eileen used her producing skills to find and hire unique real people for Naked and Afraid, Stranded with a Million Bucks, and Bar Rescue. During that same period and in her first co-production with Jack Gorton, Eileen co-produced Making Waves TV, a boating and travel show which found a home on Discovery’s Velocity channel.
After a stint with Tyler the Creator’s digital channel, Golf Media, Eileen found herself at the forefront of the digital advertising age with the juggernaut tech start-up TubeScience, which produces huge volumes of user-centric videos for social media. Climbing the ranks from Associate Producer to Supervising Casting Producer to Manager of Talent Production, Eileen supervised a team of ten.
Armed with a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Scranton, as well as an M.F.A. in Directing Theatre from Catholic University, Eileen has always enjoyed sharing her industry knowledge. She taught regularly as an adjunct professor at Moorpark College in California, and on the East Coast at Adelphi University and Rosemont College. Eileen has also been a guest lecturer at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, the American Academy of Dramatic Art, and Poznan University in Poland.
